ENRICH TALK - MEET JOHN DAWSON, ARTEMIS DIRECTOR AND FORMER BLOOMBERG TV ANCHOR

Now a reputation and crisis manager at Artemis Associates, former Bloomberg TV anchor John Dawson will share his personal insights and stories from 20 years of journalism and broadcast experience. During the talk, he will share anecdotes from his years of interviewing the world’s greatest influencers, what he learnt from them and studying their careers, and what he feels constitutes great leadership.

 

About the Speaker

John Dawson joined Artemis Associates, the boutique reputation management consultancy, in May 2015 after a 20 year career at Bloomberg Television, where he was the prime-time Anchor in Europe and Asia and particularly renowned for his news-breaking interviews. It was a role that saw him interview over 6,500 leading figures from the world of business, politics and sport. John’s exclusive, news-breaking interviews with General Electric’s Jack Welch and BP’s Lord Browne won him Bloomberg’s sole nominations for the U.K. Business Journalist of the Year award. As a writer, his work featured regularly on the Bloomberg newswire and in publications around the world, including the IHT, Financial Times and Business Week. John graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor’s Degree in English & Classics.

About the Speakers

Wen Han Choy - Executive Director, Private Banking International at Bank Julius Baer

Wen Han has been a private banker for over a decade, first with UBS AG and now with Bank Julius Baer in Singapore. Prior to banking, he worked for Singapore Economic Development Board from 2003 to 2006, both in Logistics & Transport Group as well as the Biomedical Sciences Group, promoting Singapore as an investment destination for foreign direct investment. Wen Han holds a Master of Science degree in Real Estate from the National University of Singapore (NUS), a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in French Commercial Studies from the University of Illinois, USA. He is fluent in French, Italian, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Mark Matthews - Head Research, Asia at Bank Julius Baer

Mark Matthews is currently Head of Research Asia for Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd., an appointment he has held since June 2011. With over 23 years of experience in finance and investment, Mark has held senior research and sales positions in various financial institutions, including ING Barings Securities, Standard & Poor's and Merrill Lynch. Currently based in Singapore, he has lived in Asia for most of his life, including in Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan and Sri Lanka. Mark holds a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University and a Bachelor of Arts from Université Laval, Quebec City, Canada. He is fluent in French and Chinese.
