A unique School of Business founded by visionary entrepreneurs to foster and teach effective management with care and passion, always championing the primacy of the individual. LIUC isn’t just a place to study; it’s a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in history and culture. Established in 1991 by the Industrial Union of the Province of Varese, LIUC is housed in the beautifully restored Cantoni cotton mill in Castellanza.

This campus, designed by the legendary Italian architect Aldo Rossi, perfectly blends the past and present. Rossi, a Pritzker Prize winner, preserved the mill’s original industrial and Art Nouveau architecture, creating a vibrant environment where history and innovation coexist. Studying at LIUC means being part of a rich cultural heritage while preparing for a future full of opportunities.

Deep roots in the entrepreneurial world, a strong connection with the local area, and a broad openness to the world characterize an education focused on business management and the growth of younger generations, the economy, and civil society, educating in the spirit and values of enterprise theorised by Carlo Cattaneo: the intelligence and will that produce innovation.

LIUC is committed to positioning itself on the market as a “unique and distinctive business school” that has set itself apart from its competitors thanks to:

•The interrelations and synergies between the Economics and Management Engineering degree courses, the PhD programme, and the Executive Education activities;

•Close and ongoing ties with companies, institutions, and the economic system as a whole;

•The focus on the individual. LIUC guarantees a well-curated experience in terms of learning environment, student services, campus life, opportunities for international dialogue, and relations with employees and stakeholders;

•Constant academic growth, highlighted by high standards in Teaching, Research, and Real World Results produced at the national and international levels, as well as in the quality of the services offered;

•Innovation in teaching, processes, and management, and in the various areas of its institutional commitment;

•Promotion of sustainability in all of its aspects, and of the values of inclusion

•Promotion of the values of merit, employability, and the fight against inequality.
