SAPIENTIA FOUNDATION
The Sapientia Foundation is a nonprofit organisation in Hong Kong dedicated to advancing education and promoting cultural exchange.
In 2019, the Foundation (formerly Sapientia (H.K.) Limited) established the Italian International Nursery and Kindergarten (IIKG), the first Italian School in Hong Kong. The School is a nonprofit educational institution offering two streams: Italian-English with Chinese (Putonghua) and English-Chinese (Putonghua) with Italian.
In 2024, the Foundation established the Guwei Museum, a private art institution in Wong Chuk Hang, which curates exhibitions of Chinese, international, and cross-cultural art, as well as educational programmes, in modern gallery and classroom spaces. The museum also operates a cafeteria.
Both the IIKG and the museum embody the East-meets-West concept and cultivate the mission to preserve and promote the knowledge of both Chinese and foreign cultures through their educational programming and art collections. This vision reflects the Foundation’s long-standing dedication to philanthropic causes related to arts, culture and education.
