The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is glad to present “The Authentic Italian Table”, a project within the TRUE ITALIAN TASTE* national campaign, aimed at consolidating the knowledge of the authentic Italian products in the Hong Kong and Macao market, with particular focus on PDO-PGI products.
The Authentic Italian Table series will include an educational virtual tour on September 16th dedicated to the Piedmont region and Ceretto Winery.
The Piedmont region is a land to discover through its unique products, artisanal tradition, and creative food and wine culture deeply rooted in history and people.
During our enogastronomic virtual tour Federico Ceretto, CEO of Ceretto Wineries, will present to our guests the wonders behind the Ceretto vineyard.
With 160 hectares of estate-owned vineyards, 4 wineries, 17 different wines, Ceretto Winery represents a story of a family that has been enhancing the particular characteristics of the Langhe and its wines. The secret of success for Ceretto in Piedmont is owed to the exceptional soil and climate of the Langhe and the proprietors’ passion and wisdom to capture this quality in the wine.
Our guests will have the pleasure to learn from chef Dennis Panzeri, from La Piola restaurant, the authentic flavors and rich culinary tradition of the Langhe that are part of the enogastronomy heritage of the Piedmont region
ABOUT THE EXPERTS
Since his young age, Federico Ceretto already entered the heart of his profession, starting to deal with the commercial management of Ceretto and above all of the foreign markets, collaborating mainly with importers, and following also the sales network in Italy, supporting agents in their visits to customers. Dynamic, sociable and a great wine lover, he immediately invested a lot of time and dedication in the search for new export markets, exploring new nations that have proved to be very interesting for the development of the market. “My generation is fortunate to have inherited solid foundations and strong values built over the years by my father and my uncle. Our challenge now is to commit ourselves to following this path with a new and fresher vision”.
Always passionate about cooking, in 1991 he obtained the certificate of the assistant chef at the hotel management school of Como Monte Olimpino. “Thanks to the passion of the Ceretto family, and the determination of Enrico Crippa, I am able to express myself at “la Piola” Restaurant. For me, it’s the best restaurant in the Langhe.”
